Joseph M. O'Malley, President - Mad Dash Inc.
Mr. O'Malley has over 20 years of experience with residential, commercial, and industrial projects that involve end-use metering. Mr. O'Malley's relevant expertise includes project management, before-and-after retrofit studies, monitoring of complex commercial, industrial and residential sites as well as specialized equipment for Demand Response programs/ evaluation and case studies. His responsibilities have included design of on-site monitoring setups, survey of sites, installation of monitoring equipment, training and supervision of personnel. He received his technical degree from the DeVry School of Technology in Chicago, IL.
Ryan Moss, Director Field Engineering
Mr. Moss has 11 years of experience of installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of energy monitoring and control systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. He has experience with many brands of energy monitoring software and hardware including Square D Power Logic, Siemens WinPM, E-Mon, Veris, Computer Process Controls (CPC), and TSC BAsys Controls among others. Mr. Moss is proficient in many communications methods including Ethernet; long and short haul modems, and wireless technologies for use in connecting metering and monitoring hardware for data collection. Utilizing hardware from Cannon, Comverge, and Carrier, Mr. Moss is knowledgeable in A/C cycling programs in both residential and small commercial. Further, his extensive experience in the field has allowed Mr. Moss to develop several of Mad Dash Inc.'s installation and troubleshooting procedures along with several implementation manuals. Mr. Moss currently directs all of Mad Dash Inc.'s field activities and the growing group of field engineers. Mr. Moss graduated with an Associate of Applied Science in Electronic Engineering Technology from ITT.
Dave Ives, Project Manager
Mr. Ives comes to Mad Dash Inc. with 20 years of experience in commercial, residential, institutional and industrial/process sectors. He has served as Project Engineer for energy audits and survey programs and related technical/economic analysis. In addition, he has been the Lead Field Engineer for design and installation of end-use monitoring and data acquisition systems. His extensive field of knowledge includes project assessment, involving impact and evaluation studies of conservation, and load management projects utilizing survey characteristics, billing history, and measured field data. As a Lead Field Engineer, he has performed site surveys, measurement plan development, instrumentation installation and analysis of fuel end-use distribution. In addition, Mr. Ives has researched field performance of building systems and products using empirical field survey information and metered data. He is also adept in all phases of detailed energy studies for commercial, institutional, industrial and residential buildings. Mr. Ives received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, with an emphasis on Thermodynamics and Energy Systems, from the University of Delaware.
Nate O'Shea Project Manager
Mr. O'Shea has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Northern Illinois University in Dekalb, IL. Mr. O'Shea has over 3 years experience in electromechanical applications and custom fabrications. He has been involved with project management and energy audits for major Midwest utilities evaluating technology in residential settings. In addition, Mr. O'Shea administrates several Commercial Demand Response programs. Mr. O'Shea is currently managing teams of technicians for the installation of Building Automation control systems in Retail operations. He also has experience performing site installations, developing monitoring procedures, and troubleshooting sites.
